Information Technology

The Department of Information Technology Engineering seeks to provide an excellent environment in which students and faculty are engaged in a comprehensive up-to-date education process of the highest quality in all aspects of computing. The mission of the department is to produce the next generation of Software Technology. The department strives to achieve its mission by being student centered, community engaged, and committed to academic excellence.

The Department of Information Technology Engineering offers a variety of ways to concentrate in this field at the Diploma level as well as Degree level.

The Department has a pool of experienced, dedicated and committed faculty members who aim at delivering top class education to students. Highly skilled technical laboratory assistant helps us to keep all laboratories updated with latest software. Department organizes industry visits and expert session on latest technologies to expose the students to the rapid change in computer engineering domain.

Infrastructure

  • Laboratories with latest configuration PC’s are connected in LAN. Relevant software's are installed and made available to the students for proper understanding and learning of the subjects. Thus leaving them equipped with knowledge that builds their skills.
  • The Department's space is designed for flexibility and to allow easy further infrastructure expansion. There is ample space for laboratories and classrooms to support teaching and group interactions.
  • The lab staffs are responsible for installing and maintaining all Department’s computers and providing all required network services within the Department.
  • Workstations - The Department maintains a variety of desktop and server computing resources. All faculty and student desktops are equipped with either WIPRO or HCL workstations with advanced graphics displays and at least 2 GB to 8 GB ‘s of RAM.
  • Networking - The Department operates a Dlink Switch interconnected via gigabit fiber to Ethernet switches. Fiber-optic links provide dual 50MBPS links to the main campus network.

Computer Department Laboratories

  • Basic Computing Lab
  • This lab provides facility to students to learn programming languages and do practical’s on C, Computer Programming with C++ , Computer Programming with JAVA, Data Structures Management, Commuter Graphics , etc…

  • Database Lab
  • To study database techniques. To acquaint students with relatively advanced issues & is fully equipped with relevant resources. We use the Oracle 10G and MS SQL server 2005/2008 to study database techniques.

  • Web Development / Project Lab
  • This lab provides latest research tool for working on various Projects. The lab also equipped with the tools used for web development on which students can perform practicals on Web Application Development , IAP , ASP.NET,VB.NET & PHP.

  • Software Programming Lab
  • To apply various software programming practices and methodologies while dealing with the various phases of software development. Lab is used for performing the assignments of Advance .Net Technology, Visual Basic Applications and Programming etc.

  • System Programming Lab
  • This lab provides latest tools to the students for applying practices and programming of system softwares. Students can perform practicals on Operating System.

  • Computer Center
  • Computer Center is equipped with more than 60 computers, HCL INFINITI PRO/TRU BL1330 having INTEL DUAL CORE processors with latest configurations. Silent features of the Computer Center are as below.

  • Centrally Connectivity with Fast Ethernet Structured Cabling
  • 10 Mbps of Internet Backbone Connectivity
  • Wi-Fi enabled Campus
  • Internet enabled Nodes in the Computer Center
  • Seminar hall with a capacity of 150 persons is developed with audio/video aids
